I know - long time no blog. Sorry. I recently suffered a loss. My hard drive on my computer died with approx. 7 years of files. Fortunately I have some of it backed up. My oldest is in Peruright now. Follow him at http://hawksforchrist.blogspot.com/ He should start blogging tomorrow.

greetings! It is just one day away from my daughters 16th birthday. Wow how time flies. The deal I have had with her from her birth is that first she can start dating at 16 and second, her first date will be with her dad. 16 years to get ready for this and I am not. My baby cannot be 16. So, I am now preparing to take my baby girl and treat her like a queen and a young lady. Her rule for dating is that if the young man does not treat her as good as her dad, then he doesn't need to be dating her.

Speaking of young ladies, I now have a new hero and a role model for our teens. Ms. California, the runner up for Miss USA. I will let her interviews speak for themselves. Watch.

phewwwwww. I have survived the Tax Man for another year. I signed papers at my accountants yesterday and YIPPEEEE for refunds. I get a whole......drum role........anticipation............waiting.............more waiting.............and the answer is.........a whopping $11. WOW!!! That will go into my favorite ministries fund - SN4J. For those who don't know this organization it is Snow Cones for Jerry. I should be good for about a week with that refund.

We have been looking at Holiness as a congregation on Sunday mornings. I have come to conclude that Holiness is not what we are rather it's who we are. Unfortunately our definition of holiness has often been pointing fingers at others. "They are not as good as we are or not the same color, or not from the same neighborhood, don't give as much as we do or even not the most "positive" citizen in the city." God's holy people in scripture have identities like murderers, adulterers, those who sell out their friends and even dis their friends in the very hour they truly need them. But - they are still part of God's holy nation, royal priesthood. So what is holiness to you?
